Whether you are having family portraits done, or its your wedding day, for heaven's sake HAVE FUN! Your true personality shines through when you yourself are having fun. Your smile should be genuine. There isn't much worse than a fake smile. The expression "the eyes have it" is perfect to explain that. When your smile is genuine and comes from the heart, it shines out through your eyes!
In family portraits, it is the photo of the kid's being themselves that are worth hanging on the walls. Kids cry, they laugh, they get goofy, baby's spit up, pre-teens sulk. The list goes on. That;s a normal part of life! In years to come, those photos will be the ones that draw you in, and get those memories flowing. And if you are having fun, then the children will have fun.
On your wedding day, there is bound to be something that doesn't go as planned. Just go with it! If you are relaxed, and having fun, your guests will have fun. And that's what this day is all about--a celebration of your marriage to your best friend, with your nearest and dearest as witnesses. And unless the guests know every little detail of your wedding day program, they will have no idea that something was forgotten or missed. Even if you leave your bouquet at home, the guests will probably assume that was the way you planned it. So, don't sweat the small stuff. In the end, the vows you said and the images your photographer took will be the most important part of your day...and the most memorable. Enjoy it!
